OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) — An Opelousas man has been arrested following a traffic stop that stemmed from an ongoing narcotics investigation, deputies said.
Glenn Thomas Babineaux, 41, of Opelousas was arrested and charged with the following:
- turning signal required
- transactions involving drug proceeds
- manufacturing cocaine
- posession with intent to distribute Cocaine
- posession with intent to distribute Oxycodone
- posession with intent to distribute Marijuana
- felon in possession of a firearm
- firearm in presence of cds
- public bribery
Babineaux was involved in an ongoing narcotics investigation from 2024. Deputies searched his home on July 15, 2024, finding drugs, manufacturing equipment, and two firearms, authorities said. Babineaux was arrested then bonded out of jail.
