Six Little Caesars pizzas caused an intricate saga of warnings, security camera surveillance, a rescinded notice and the resignation of a club officer–all the result of the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s ever-changing food sharing policy.
The UNO D&D Club is a registered student organization (RSO), drawing in UNO students to play the tabletop roleplaying game Dungeons and Dragons in a friendly environment. The group members meet every other Friday in the second-floor food court of Milo Bail Student Center, playing through high-fantasy adventures, organized by a central figure known as a dungeon master (DM).
On Sept. 26, during one of the club’s bi-weekly sessions, club member and current dungeon master, Javon Jarmon, brought six Little Caesars pizzas for him and his players to eat. Jarmon said the practice of having food at sessions was a “tradition” from past DMs at on-campus club meetings…
