ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rochelle Community Hospital Foundation hosted an early Valentine’s Day brunch Thursday afternoon, celebrating couples who have been together for 50 or more years.
23 different couples got a chance to grab some food and reminisce, sharing their fondest memories throughout their relationships. One couple in particular had plenty to share. Dennis and Winell Swinton are celebrating 70 years together. They were recognized during the brunch for being the longest married couple. They say their key to a long-lasting relationship has been keeping things fun and perserverance.
