Several back-to-back crashes halt major San Antonio highways

A crash, seemingly between two pickup trucks, on the Eastside of San Antonio is causing some traffic backup on one of the busiest interstates connecting the east and west sides of the city. As crews clear the scene quickly, folks may want to brace for delays.

Traffic monitoring sites are showing delays of up to half an hour as two trucks can be seen hauling off pickup trucks, one of which had significant front-end damage, along the northbound lanes of I-35 – near the Frost Bank Center Drive exit. No injuries were reported to ESM and fire services as a result of this crash, but the damage to one of these trucks is clearly visible from traffic cameras operated by the Texas Department of Transportation.

For about an hour after the crash, reported at around 1:30 p.m., several lanes of traffic were blocked off by officers as first responders worked to clear the scene…
