ANN ARBOR, MI – A University of Michigan fraternity’s chapter was suspended following an investigation into a violation of fraternity policies and the university’s policy against hazing.
The suspension of the Alpha Kappa chapter at UM was made by the national headquarters of Pi Kappa Phi, the fraternity announced in a release. The university closed the chapter on Jan. 15 following a joint investigation between the university and the fraternity, a UM spokesperson said.
“The Fraternity holds its chapters and members to clear expectations rooted in responsibility, accountability and respect for their campus communities.
