Fire breaks out at Clarksburg Outlets, several stores damaged

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Several stores at the Clarksburg Outlets were damaged after a fire broke out on Friday, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS).

It all started shortly before 10 a.m. when a Talbots employee reported a fire had ignited in the back of the store.

According to MCFRS, roughly 50 firefighters responded to the scene and determined that a fire had occurred but was extinguished by the store’s sprinkler system.
