SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The MSPCA-Angell and several other Massachusetts shelters will waive adoption fees for animals that have been in their care for 30 days or longer during a three-day event starting on Friday.
The “Worth the Wait” adoptathon marks the first time in the more than 150-year history of the MSPCA-Angell that adoption fees have been suspended for all species in a single event. The initiative aims to find matches for animals that have spent at least a month in shelter care.
The “Worth the Wait” adoptathon will take place during normal open hours at all four MSPCA-Angell shelters. These locations include facilities in Boston, Methuen, Salem and Centerville on Cape Cod…
