Two men charged after alleged material order fraud

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two Depew men are facing charges after North Tonawanda Police investigated a fraud report at a local business, police announced Thursday.

Law enforcement discovered an order for more than $10,000 worth of construction materials placed with a local building material supplier. Officials said an individual was allegedly fraudulently using a contractor’s business account to place the order, impersonating the contractor.

On Feb. 12, officials took 37-year-old Luis Diaz and 59-year-old Roberto Rocha into custody after they allegedly arrived to pick up the items ordered illegally…
