CHARLESTON, S.C. (Palmetto Life) — Celebrity chef Kevin Des Chenes, who has cooked for stars including Jake Gyllenhaal, Tommy Lee Jones, Garth Brooks and John Legend, is hosting a special Valentine’s Weekend residency at Coterie restaurant this weekend.
Des Chenes, who has appeared on television with Gordon Ramsay, will present five-course pairing dinners Friday and Saturday nights. The Rhode Island native said each celebrity client brings different dietary preferences and challenges.
“Jake Gyllenhaal was training for a new movie, so he was high protein, low carbs,” Des Chenes said during a live television cooking demonstration Tuesday morning. “Same thing with John Legend. Super clean chicken, brown rice, things like that.”
