CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A man was displaced following a brush fire spreading to a camper Wednesday morning in Currituck County.
Multiple units were dispatched to the 180 block of West Gibbs Road for a reported brush fire at approximately 11:45 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered heavy black smoke coming from a brush fire and a fully involved camper.
Crews had water on the fire at 12 p.m., marked it under control at 12:27 p.m. and marked it out at 1:37 p.m.
