COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Housing Authority of Columbus has announced that pre-applications for housing vouchers will open on Feb. 16, 2026.
According to the Housing Authority of Columbus’s website, the Section 8 program will be taking pre-applications by phone only beginning Feb. 16 – Feb. 20 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The pre-application flyer states that Section 8 will accept pre-applications from families in the following income ranges:
- One person- $26,950
- Two people- $30,800
- Three people- $34,650
- Four people- $38,500
- Five people- $41,600
- Six people- $44,650
- Seven people- $47,750
- Eight people- $50,800
When calling, applicants will be asked to provide their name, address, birth date, children’s names and birth dates, social security numbers, race, phone number and estimated weekly or monthly income…
