15 Greensboro restaurants team up for subscription food boxes amid downtown challenges

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Fifteen downtown Greensboro restaurants are banding together to support local businesses and attract customers with a new subscription-style food box project called “Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen.” The initiative comes as many small businesses face closures, slow winter months, and economic pressures.

Owners and chefs from Pangaea, Machete, Yokai, Savor the Moment, Chez Genèse, Blue Denim, The Sage Mule, Breakfast in Paris, Neighbors, ‘Cille and ‘Scoe, Chandlers, Lewis & Elm, and Jerusalem Market on Elm say the project is designed to keep local restaurants thriving while giving customers a convenient way to try multiple menus at home.
