Man tied to largest fentanyl bust by Grand Rapids police gets prison

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A man is headed to prison in connection with the largest fentanyl bust by Grand Rapids police.

Darrell Mitchell, 54, was sentenced Thursday, Feb. 12 in Kent County Circuit Court after police arrested him during a seizure of 1.1 pounds of fentanyl at an address in the 4300 block of Wimbledon Drive SW in Grandville.

Mitchell was sentenced to 51 months to 30 years in prison on drug charges…
