KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 24-year-old man is facing a slew of charges after the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) says he had a modified gun and evidence of drug sales in Oshtemo Township.
Tuesday, members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) and Crime Reduction Team (CRT) went to search a home on Concord Drive near Mount Royal Drive.

There, officers found and arrested Darius Frazier, who was sitting in a car with various drugs.
Officers also found the following inside Frazier’s home:
- An unregistered gun, which had been equipped with an extended magazine and modified to have a “switch,” making it a fully automatic weapon
- Evidence of drug manufacturing and distribution
- Alleged profits from drug sales
Frazier had previously been convicted of felony charges, and could not have a gun or ammunition, according to KDPS. He was released from prison in 2025 for weapon-related offenses…
