SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — More than a year after a teenager was shot and killed in Hendersonville, a young man from Nashville was found guilty of multiple charges in connection with the case.
The Hendersonville Police Department said it responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Vulco Drive on Jan. 12, 2025, but when authorities arrived at the scene, “the call was changed to a homicide.” The victim was identified by officials as a 16-year-old boy from Nashville.

According to 18th Judicial District Attorney General Thomas Dean, the evidence showed Amani Jordan — who was 18 at the time of the incident — fired five shots and fled the scene.
Based on an arrest affidavit News 2 obtained last year, a witness told authorities the victim and Jordan were arguing about whose turn it was to play a video game prior to the shooting. Three witnesses reportedly heard Jordan ask the 16-year-old if he “wanted to bang (fight)” before the shots were fired, and one witness said they spotted Jordan holding a handgun before seeing the victim fall to the ground…
