65-Year-Old Woman Killed After Jeep Crashes Into Pool Area in Fort Pierce

Fort Pierce, Florida – A 65-year-old woman was killed Saturday afternoon after a vehicle lost control and crashed into a residential pool area, trapping her beneath the SUV, authorities said. The tragic incident occurred in a quiet neighborhood and is being described as a rare and devastating accident.

According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, officers responded around 2:10 p.m. on Feb. 7 to reports of a “vehicle versus pedestrian” crash on Laurel Leaf Lane. When officers arrived, they discovered that a black Jeep Grand Cherokee had veered off the roadway.

Vehicle Leaves Roadway, Crashes Into Pool Area

Investigators said the SUV first traveled through hedges and fencing before entering a backyard pool area, where 65-year-old Anastasia Fiona Allman had been sunbathing at the time. The vehicle continued moving through additional fencing and landscaping before striking the side of a nearby residence. During the crash, Allman became trapped underneath the vehicle.

Emergency responders from St. Lucie County Fire Rescue arrived at the scene to assist with the recovery operation. Despite their efforts, Allman was pronounced dead at the scene…
