Florida Firefighters Use Crane To Rescue Construction Worker From 17th Floor Of Unfinished Building

Firefighters in Florida used their “quick thinking and intricate training” to utilize a construction crane when rescuing a worker from the 17th floor of a building under construction, officials said.

Sarasota County Emergency Services shared a video of the rescue, which took place Monday on the 600 block of Quay Commons. The agency said the Sarasota County Fire Department Special Operations team’s quick thinking and intricate training helped them utilize a crane on site to bring a patient safely to the ground from the 17th floor of a building under construction.
