Leon County seeks reimbursement for taxpayer funds used in response to mobile home water outage

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County is looking to be reimbursed after it mobilized an emergency response in the face of unsanitary conditions at a Tallahassee area mobile home park last week.

The public health crisis occurred at the Florida Sun Estates Mobile Home Park and water was reportedly restored a week later. County Commission Chair Christian Caban said the cost was steep.

“The county had to intervene and provide emergency services to provide showers, water, toilets. That was a $33,000 cost to taxpayers due to a negligent landlord. And I don’t think that’s right,” Caban said…
