‘I will shoot you’: Lubbock woman indicted for aggravated assault

LUBBOCK, Texas — Kaitlin Garcia, 25, was indicted on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, which stems from a December 2024 incident.

According to court documents, Lubbock Police responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 7300 block of University Avenue on Dec. 20, 2024. Upon arrival, officers determined that Garcia, alongside three other individuals, were participating in a child exchange at the location. During this time, the victim and another individual began fighting, which led to a firearm being drawn by the individual. The documents later stated that Garcia took the gun from them and pointed it at the victim while yelling, ‘I will shoot you!’. The two continued to fight, which led to Garcia cocking the gun, pointing it at the victim and threatening to shoot them again.
