Driver flees traffic stop, detained after 9-minute pursuit

LUBBOCK, Texas–A Lubbock County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Memphis Avenue at 4:40 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

The driver pulled over after the LSO Deputy exited their unit, the driver of the stopped car pulled away and fled the scene. LSO deputies followed the vehicle for 9 minutes. The pursuit ended on South Loop 289 access road near 50th Street. When LSO deputies used their own units to block the driver’s path.

Two arrested for evidence tampering after fatal motorcycle crash

There were no injuries reported. The driver has been detained. They were the sole occupant of the vehicle.
