MADISON, Wis. — An SUV driver was pinned inside their vehicle after a crash with a semi Thursday afternoon on Madison’s southwest side that also caused a fuel spill.
The crash was reported just after 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Maple Grove Road and Prairie Road. The Madison Fire Department did not say what led to the collision. Hydraulic spreaders were used to open the SUV’s door, and more specialized equipment was used to make space for crews to remove the driver.
