LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man was arrested and charged after threatening his neighbors with a knife Wednesday morning, court documents allege.
At 7:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance at an apartment complex near South 20th and Washington streets after a woman reported that her neighbor, 50-year-old Thomas Broderick, was kicking her door while armed with a knife.
Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim who said Broderick had just returned to his apartment but had threatened her and two others with a knife with a serrated blade, the arrest affidavit states.
Police attempted to contact Broderick, but he would not answer the door or respond to officers’ knocks, court documents show. Officers then spoke to another neighbor who provided video footage of Broderick in the apartment walkway at 7:36 a.m. with a knife in his hand, police said…
