Police are looking for answers after a teenage girl died in a deadly vehicle accident in San Antonio, Texas. For reasons that are still unclear, the girl was outside her apartment complex in the early morning when it was still dark. Currently, there is speculation among neighbors about what may have made her go outside, but it’s still just hearsay and chatter. While the teen was outside, she was reportedly struck and killed by a garbage truck. It’s easy to forget that things are happening when many of us are still asleep. Because the accident occurred before people are usually up and outside, it is unknown exactly how long her body was there before she was found.
The incident took place in the early morning hours of February 9, 2026, about 5:30, both WOAI and KENS reported. However, police officers weren’t called to the Camaron Townhomes and Flats until 6:10 a.m., according to KENS.
San Antonio Police Department officer Nicholas Evans said witnesses told investigators the girl, who was believed to be a resident of the apartment complex, was hit by a vehicle.
