The Caddo Parish Tax Assessor’s office is months behind in meeting its financial reporting requirements.

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor has labeled the Caddo Assessor’s Office noncompliant with its annual reporting requirements, meaning the office responsible for determining property value and setting tax rolls hasn’t yet submitted an audit of its finances for 2024. That audit was due in June, making it nearly eight months late.

Louisiana agencies receiving government funding are required by law each year to submit financial reports to the legislative auditor, their obligations varying with the level of revenue they get.
