TULSA, Okla. — A north Tulsa native is working to create hands-on opportunities for high school students interested in medical careers, hoping her own journey will inspire the next generation.
Dr. Angela Surratt is the workforce development manager at Ascension St. John. She said her career has allowed her story to come full circle.
“I was born and raised in north Tulsa. I am a true Okie. For young adults and young students to see someone that looks like them working in a position that provides these opportunities, it helps them. It actually creates an opportunity of ease for them to know that if she can make it, so can I.”…
