Albuquerque man sentenced for multiple murders

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man was in court Friday to be sentenced for multiple murders. Judge Brett Loveless sentenced 27-year-old Gabriel Valenzuela-Greene Jr. to 35 years in prison.

Valenzuela-Greene Jr. shot two people who were doing drugs in an alleyway near Indiana and Central in March 2024. One of the victims, Jacob Rivera, was shot nine times and died from his injuries. Days later, police linked Valenzuela-Greene Jr. to the murder of Lawrence Zamora near Pennsylvania St. He was also linked to the murder of Donte Barnes, who was shot and killed in the Twisters parking lot on Menaul. Police say bullet casings from the scenes were a match. APD mentioned all three murders involved drug trafficking. Valenzuela-Greene Jr. is also a suspect in two kidnapping…..
