BOISE, Idaho — Bogus Basin’s school race program has been an integral part of the mountain’s history and has been in place since the 1960’s. This year, the championship event for the program will have to be canceled, as snowfall has been sparse.
According to a Bogus Basin spokesperson, the 2026 Dotty Clark Championship has been cancelled, while the mountain awaits more snow.
While several lifts are open, including the Deer Point Express, Morning Star Express, Coach Chairlift, and three conveyor lifts, the backside of the mountain remains unavailable. The lifts that are operational are due to the snowmaking team’s efforts…
