A business that operated in a residential basement for four years has moved to a new location and expanded its offerings.
605 Threads & Things, a custom-apparel business that offers embroidery and printing, opened in January at 5200 S. Cliff Ave., Suite 103.
With the new location comes a retail space that will partner with local makers to feature their products, said Ignacio “Nacho” Davalos, who owns the business with his wife, Katelyn, and her parents, Lisa and Jeff Lundeen. In addition, 605 Threads & Things will offer gift-giving services. The community can use a space there for meetings, gatherings and small groups or Bible studies, Davalos said.
“We’re a Christian, family-owned business, and our faith is pretty important to us,” he said. “We want to welcome people here and just be a light to people, not only to sell products but to be a blessing to others.”
The Lundeens purchased embroidery machinery four years ago after a friend left the business. Jeff Lundeen works full time at another business, and Lisa Lundeen saw it as an opportunity to merge work she did making flower bouquets and gift baskets for family and friends…
