Bystander shoots pit bull to stop Auburn dog attack; 2 women injured

AUBURN, Wash. — Two women were injured after a dog attack in Auburn that ended when a bystander shot the animal, authorities said.

Early information from Auburn police indicates a pit bull got loose and attacked a woman before a bystander who witnessed the incident fired a gun at the dog in an attempt to stop it.
