Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has announced the arrest of Taylen Germon Barbour, age 21, in relation to an active homicide investigation. CMPD’s Public Affairs Office released a statement detailing the ongoing case. Following continued investigation efforts, Barbour emerged as a prime suspect leading to the issuance of a warrant for his arrest. On January 27, CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) successfully located and apprehended Barbour.
After his capture, Barbour was brought to the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) to undergo an interview with homicide detectives.
