A Norcross man has been convicted of leading an international fencing enterprise that shipped stolen, blacklisted electronics overseas for profit.
A Gwinnett County jury found 41-year-old Kong Zhen Ni guilty of violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and theft by receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to seven years in prison, followed by three years of probation, and ordered to pay a $100,000 fine.
“Our office is proud to have recovered this groundswell of stolen items,” said Patsy Austin-Gatson. “We’re sending a message with this RICO conviction that organized crime is not welcome in Gwinnett, and anyone who participates will face criminal consequences.”…
