Cinema Center launches $100,000 campaign to mark 50 Years in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — After five decades of bringing independent, international and classic films to Northeast Indiana, Fort Wayne Cinema Center is launching a $100,000 fundraising campaign aimed at securing its future for the next 50 years.

The nonprofit theater’s “Celebrate 50” initiative will support technology upgrades, facility improvements and expanded programming as the organization marks its 50th anniversary in 2026.

Since opening in 1976, Cinema Center has grown from a small arthouse venue into what leaders describe as a cultural anchor in downtown Fort Wayne. Located at 437 E.
