Commission weighs potential salary increase for Stockton City Council in 2027

A citizens’ commission is considering whether to raise salaries for Stockton City Council members in 2027.

The Council Salary Setting Commission discussed the issue at a Wednesday, Feb. 11, meeting. The five-member body is appointed by the Civil Service Commission and recommends salaries and benefits for the city council and mayor. The commission is expected to make a recommendation in the coming weeks.
