A Naples area dog owner is holding an online fundraiser to help offset vet bills after a pet encountered a Florida black bear in rural Collier County.
Savannah Hopkins set up a gofundme page on Feb. 12 for a dog named Juno.
“Juno is my beloved pet, and last night she went through something unimaginable,” Hopkins wrote on the account. “She was attacked by a bear and suffered severe injuries. It was a terrifying experience, and we rushed her to the emergency vet as quickly as we could.”…
