What was once a small gathering of local runners has transformed into one of Richmond’s largest running communities. The Sunrise Social Club, founded by Ava Tankersley, ’25, has expanded into a network of eager community members.
“The first time I came, it was like 30 people, and it was easier to organize,” said sophomore Madalyn Schmidt.
Schmidt said: “I remember coming back this past semester. It just blew up. It blew up. There are so many people at run club. I feel like there was a hundred people there once, and now it’s just gotten a lot bigger.”…
