SPRINGFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — This week Massachusetts State Police conducted two operations that resulted in six arrests and the seizure of 15 handguns, 6 rifles, approximately $63,000, cocaine, fentanyl, and more. The first operation targeted an alleged drug trafficking ring between Massachusetts and Puerto Rico. The second targeted a fentanyl trafficker based in the greater Springfield area.

On February 10th and 11th, the Massachusetts State Police Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team (CINRET) conducted two operations to take down several narcotics and firearms trafficking rings in Springfield. The first operation was the result of a four-month long investigation that targeted a sophisticated drug trafficking ring based in Massachusetts and Puerto Rico. The operation culminated with the execution of six simultaneous search warrants in the City of Springfield.
