Attorney looks into controversial traffic stop in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The new top cop of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department defended a traffic stop caught in a viral video, while saying the language used by an officer has no place in the agency.
“The statement that was used is not acceptable,” Terry said Wednesday while reading from prepared statements in front of the City-County Council’s public safety committee at New Directions Church. “That language does not reflect the values of this department or the professionalism that we expect from our officers.”
