A Zachary man will spend the next 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted second-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping charges in 18th Judicial District Court on Feb. 10.
Adam R. Orellana, 41, of 5232 Knight Drive, Zachary, entered the guilty pleas before Ad Hoc District Judge Alvin Turner Jr. in Iberville Parish after a jury was seated in his trial.
Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. March 5. The plea agreement calls for terms of 40 years in prison on each charge, with the terms running concurrently, so Orellana will be in prison for decades, well into old age, before his release…
