Mount Vernon man to enter plea after accidental shooting of 10-year-old

MOUNT VERNON, Iowa (KCRG) – A Mount Vernon is scheduled to enter a plea next month after police say he accidently shot a 10-year-old boy in the head.

62-year-old Kevin Gouchee is charged with reckless use of a firearm causing bodily injury and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
