JONESBORO, Ark. — An Arkansas State Police incident report by Trooper Brian Merrill details the pursuit and arrest of Amanda Lewis, 49, of Little Rock, after authorities said she fled from officers in the area of U.S. Highway 463 on Feb. 3.
According to the report, at approximately 9:58 p.m., the trooper heard a Bay Police officer advise over the radio that a vehicle was failing to yield to lights and siren on State Highway 463. The trooper reported locating the pursuit, which involved a Bay Police officer and three Craighead County deputies traveling northbound on East Nettleton Avenue within the city limits of Jonesboro.
The report states the trooper followed the slow-moving pursuit for about one-half mile and observed the Bay Police unit turn off emergency lights and siren, then continue heading northbound.
