LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A donkey found roaming alone in Duson is now on the road to a new home after a social media post from the Lafayette Animal Shelter gained widespread attention online.
The donkey was first picked up along Wiltuner Road after being spotted wandering without an owner. Shelter staff took the animal in and later shared photos and information on social media…a post that quickly made the rounds and drew strong community interest.
Officials say it didn’t take long before someone stepped forward to adopt him…
