Nebraska Medicine drops lawsuit against Board of Regents after board replacement

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Nebraska Medicine’s interim chancellor said the hospital’s new board has moved quickly to end a legal battle that began when the original board sued the Board of Regents over an $800 million deal.

The lawsuit alleged the university wanted “unfettered access” to donor funds that could be used for non-health care purposes. But after the Board of Regents replaced the entire board, that lawsuit was dropped.
