Strong thunderstorms, hail could hit South Texas Saturday. Here’s what to expect.

A strong, spring-like low pressure system has made its way into Texas, and it will bring the energy necessary for scattered strong thunderstorms across Texas by Saturday afternoon. If you have Valentine’s Day plans later on, it will be important to stay updated with what’s going on with the weather.

Here in San Antonio, the greatest thunderstorm threat is expected from the afternoon and into the early evening. Severe weather is not expected to be widespread across the region, but a few storms still could be capable of producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect throughout the day.

Valentine’s Day forecast

Through much of the morning, San Antonio can expect mild, cloudy and muggy weather. Early temperatures are expected to hover in the mid-60s, with relative humidity values likely near 90%. Temps will only rise to around 70 degrees by noon.
