Two Houston residents were arrested by Brenham police on Thursday on charges of intoxication and impeding officers.
Close to 7 p.m., Officer Gabriel Duran responded to the 2500 block of South Day Street in reference to a traffic accident.
According to police, their on-scene investigation determined that 57-year-old Richard Alfred was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. During the course of the arrest for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd, police claim that Alfred resisted arrest, leading to an additional charge of Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.
Police say the passenger, 45-year-old Tatum Jones, showed to be intoxicated in a public place, and they also report that Jones interfered with them in completing their investigation. Jones was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication and Interference with Public Duties…
