Louisiana wakes up warm and humid as dark clouds stack up west of Shreveport and showers edge closer to the I-20 corridor. The air feels more like April than February, but stronger storms are lining up for later today and into Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, showers become likely after mid-afternoon with highs near 73 degrees. Rain chances increase to 70% today, then jump to 100% tonight as thunderstorms develop. Some storms could turn severe and produce heavy rainfall. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches are possible. South winds between 5 and 15 mph may gust up to 25 mph before shifting northwest Sunday…
