Early voting expands in Rio Rancho mayor race with 4 new locations

RIO RANCHO, N.M. – Early voting for Rio Rancho’s next mayor is underway with four additional locations opening tomorrow.

Voting has been ongoing at the Broadmoor Senior Center for over a week. Starting Saturday, ballots can also be cast at the Loma Colorado Library, Sabana Grande, the Hub at Enchanted Hills and near Southern Boulevard.

Candidates for the mayoral position include 28-year-old Zach Darden and local business owner Aleitress Owens-Smith. Alexandria Piland, former chair of the Democratic Party of Sandoval County, is also on the ballot…
