SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A Marcola man who admitted to killing another man with an arrow in Springfield over two years ago will serve more than two decades in prison, according to the Lane County District Attorney’s Office.
Isaac McGrew, whose trial was set to start next week, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, kidnapping, and tampering with a witness on Feb. 12. McGrew was sentenced on Feb. 13 to 25 years in prison and three years of post prison supervision, the DA’s office said. Dustin Shelton was found deceased on September 28, 2023, outside the St. Vinny’s store on Main Street, with an arrow in his head that had his name on it. Authorities used security footage and witness accounts from a nearby RV to track down a woman who was present during the incident.
