Nevada athletics announced Friday the launch of the “Battle Born Recruiting and Retention Fund,” which is aimed at helping the Wolf Pack’s name, image and likeness and revenue-sharing efforts.
“The Battle Born Recruiting and Retention Fund provides Wolf Pack supporters a direct opportunity to invest in the future of Nevada athletics to ensure coaches and sports programs have the necessary resources to recruit, develop and retain elite student-athletes in an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving college athletics landscape,” the Wolf Pack wrote in a news release.
Nevada called the fund a strategic initiative designed to position the department for immediate and long-term competitive success with the Mountain West entering a new era July 1 when it will lose some of the league’s top departments in Boise State, San Diego State, Utah State, Colorado State and Fresno State…
