LATHAM — When a black and white awning, marked with the cursive lettering of ice cream shop Emack & Bolio’s logo, was placed atop an empty storefront in the Fresh Market Plaza in Latham last week, owner Orah LeHockey knew she had to make an announcement over social media about what’s to come.
LeHockey, who owns the ice cream chain’s Albany location at 366 Delaware Ave., told her followers “the rumors are true,” confirming a second location would be opening in the Capital Region at 664 New Loudon Road in Latham’s Fresh Market Plaza, between Verizon and Spectrum. The Feb. 5 posts on Instagram and Facebook have garnered the attention of thousands.
“With all the buzz that I’ve been hearing from people, they’re really excited,” LeHockey said. “I’m feeling the love and excitement from everyone else, and I’m really excited to give that back and get this project finished and open.”…
