A federal judge on Friday ruled the trial of the gunman in the 2022 mass shooting in Buffalo will not be moved outside of the Western New York district.
On May 14, 2022, Payton Gendron killed 10 Black people and injured three at a Tops supermarket on the city’s East Side. He is serving life in prison after pleading guilty in 2023 to state charges that included murder and domestic terrorism motivated by hate.
